Cookie Policy
Last updated: to be confirmed before launch.
This page explains how Healing Realms uses cookies and similar technologies. I have kept it short because, honestly, there is very little to report.
What cookies are
Cookies are small text files that a website can save to your device when you visit. They are widely used to make sites work, to remember your preferences, or to track what you do across different websites. Some cookies are helpful and some are used for advertising and tracking.
What this website does not use
Healing Realms does not use any tracking cookies, advertising cookies, or marketing cookies. I do not track you across other websites and I do not build a profile of you.
For visitor numbers I use a tool called Plausible Analytics. Plausible is privacy-first and cookieless. It does not set any cookies on your device, it does not collect any personal data about you, and it does not track you across other websites. Plausible counts visits using anonymous, aggregated information only, so I can see things like how many people viewed a page, without knowing who they are. The data is hosted within the European Union.
Because I do not use any tracking or marketing cookies, there is no cookie consent banner on this site. There is nothing for you to accept or reject.
Strictly necessary cookies
A cookie is only counted as strictly necessary if the site genuinely cannot work without it. This is a simple brochure website with no login and no online payments, so it does not rely on any strictly necessary cookies for normal browsing.
Other things worth knowing
My fonts are served from this website itself, not from an outside font service, so loading a page does not share your details with a third-party font provider.
When you send an enquiry through the contact form, your details are handled as described in the Privacy Policy. The form does not need cookies to work.
How to control cookies in your browser
Even though this site does not set tracking cookies, you can manage and delete cookies from any website at any time through your browser settings. The exact steps depend on which browser you use.
- In most browsers, look in Settings, then Privacy and security, then Cookies.
- You can usually choose to block cookies, delete existing cookies, or be warned before one is saved.
- Most browsers also offer a private or incognito mode.
For more general guidance, the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO) website has clear advice for the public on cookies and online privacy.
